If someone should ask, Why?...
Black Dress day is a day for raising awareness for M.E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis)
May is M.E Awareness Month, and Black Dress Day concludes it in style.
M.E is a very misunderstood, debilitating health condition, that is in desperate need of biomedical research.
Alot of people think M.E is 'just' being tired. But it isn't - It has many symptoms which affect each and every second of a sufferers life.
What's worse, is that M.E is often an invisible condition...
Can you imagine, feeling your utter worst... like having the flu AND a hangover at the same time, and when you try to confide in someone they say...
But you look fine!
It's so frustrating, feeling so unwell, and being so, so misunderstood...
Flu like fatigue,
Headaches and Migraines
Sensitivity to light (sometimes so bad, sufferers have to wear sunglasses when it is dark)
heavy limb sensations (like wearing a cast iron suit)
Cognitive Impairment - confusion, forgetful, short attention span (AKA Brainfog)
constant bodily aches that worsen with physical movement
Food allergies and intolerances
The list goes on! This is just a short list of what sufferers have to deal with... All of this, and no help from doctors, because there is no cure for this condition.
Raise funds for biomedical research?
At Eden Perfumes, we have met lots of people, to whom have family members, or children, that suffer with M.E
So to help raise money, on the 31st May in store, we will be donating £1 from each perfume purchase, to donate to Invest In M.E
We hope to see you,
Ladies and Gentlemen, On the 31st May
